17 Years Service to the Nation
Established in 2009, the Indian Climate Congress (ICC) is dedicated to advancing climate awareness, scientific innovation, sustainability, and environmental protection through research, education, and collaborative national action.
Genesis of ICC
The Indian Climate Congress functions under the Satyasai Charitable and Educational Trust (SCET), Cuttack, Odisha (Regd. No.- 4352/451/1999). The organization was established with the vision of promoting climate science, sustainability, environmental awareness, and scientific advancement for the benefit of society and future generations.
The Congress owes its origin to the foresight and initiative of Prof. Dr. Sanjay Kumar Samantarai, an eminent Agricultural Scientist of India, Alumnus of IIT Kharagpur, Former Dean of OUAT, Bhubaneswar, and Former Chief Engineer & Director WALMI, Department of Water Resources, Government of Odisha.
His vision was to create an annual national platform where scientists, researchers, students, innovators, and policymakers could come together to address climate change issues and contribute towards sustainable development and world peace.
